Good afternoon! It’s festival season here in SoCal — which means Ohana is finally here.
This weeks lineup:
Ohana Festival is here — our tips on how to plan an epic weekend at Doheny.
Catch a Foo Fighters tribute band at the Coach House, a farm-to-table fall dinner at The Ecology Center and happy hour at Frisby Cellars this weekend.
River Street Marketplace’s Finca just announced their happy hour specials (and they’re too good not to share).
OHANA FEST

The sun is still shining. The temps are a perfect mid-high 70’s. The summer has officially ended, but festival season is just getting started.
It’s Ohana time.
And we’ve got your guide to planning a perfect weekend here.
Getting there - parking, trolley, ride-share & biking
Parking: new for 2025, Ohana will no longer offer shuttles. You can purchase parking passes here (not offered on-site, so we advise purchasing them in advanced).
Trolley: Both San Clemente and Dana Point will offer trolley service, with extended hours on Saturday and Sunday (it won’t be operating on Friday). Check out the hours and schedules here.
Biking: Dedicated bike parking will be located near the festival’s main entrance. Remember to bring your own lock.
Ride share: Ohana Fest will have a designated ride share drop-off location inside of Doheny State Beach on Park Lantern Drive. There will also be a designated ride share pick-up point at the Dana Point Community Center on 34052 Del Obispo St.
What to bring
The Ohana festival website provides the full list of approved and prohibited items for the event. For bags and blankets/towels, make sure they’re in compliance with their policies (ie blankets must be 60” x 30” or smaller). Remember: beach chairs, umbrellas and outside food and drinks aren’t allowed.
Pro trip: dress in layers! If you’re planning to spend the day into night there, you’ll want breezy clothes for the warm temps during the day, and a light jacket or sweatshirt for evening.
If you need storage at the festival, charging lockers are perfect for storing merch, bags, jackets etc — plus you can charge your devices.
Who to see
Headliners Eddie Vedder, Hozier & Green Day are sure to be outstanding.
Here are a few other artists on our list; full schedule here:
Friday: Deep Sea Diver, Stereophonics, Kings of Leon
Saturday: Chaparelle, Royel Otis, Leon Bridges
Sunday: High Vis, James, Cage the Elephant
Don’t miss the storytelling speaker series, happening all three days of the festival.
Have fun, be safe and enjoy the Ohana vibes everyone!

This just in: local favorite Finca, in San Juan’s River Street Marketplace, just announced their weekly happy hour specials, and they look quite good.

Finca in SJC is known for their wood-fired dishes, craft cocktails and Mexican wine list.
On weekdays from 3-4:30pm, stop in to Finca and enjoy $2 off any speciality cocktails, wines by the glass, beers and tequila + mezcal flights. With any burger ordered, you’ll also get complimentary fries.
Now that sounds like something to be happy about. Cheers!
