NEW TO DEL PRADO

24722 Del Prado, right across from Stillwater, is on my weekly running route. After running by it so many times, I realized I should finally spend some time looking into what’s being built in that lot, as it seems to be going up pretty quickly.
After some digging, I learned that a three-story mixed-use building is going up there, called Del Prado Place. Development is being done by Newport-beach based Westerre, which will house 18 two and three bedroom luxury condominiums (starting at $1.75 million), and commercial retail on the ground level.

Rendering of Del Prado Place, a mixed-used space coming to 24722 Del Prado later this year.
Little has been announced as far as retail that is opening in Del Prado Place. But one restaurant that seems to have plans open in Del Prado Place, likely later this year when the condos are finished and on the market, is Nectarine Grove.
Nectarine Grove is an organic eatery that serves gluten-free, paleo friendly and vegan dishes, based in San Diego. The Del Prado location appears to be their third location, with one store in Leucadia and the other in Del Mar.
While they haven’t released their menu for the Del Prado location yet, judging by their menus online, you can probably expect some delicious smoothies, breakfast tacos and smoothies, burgers, pizzas and even kombucha and gluten-reduced beers on tap.
We’re excited by the sounds of Nectarine Grove as another casual dining option on the ever evolving Del Prado.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about plans to open Del Prado Place.
